At only 20 years and with massive original productions including ‘Nillionaire’ under his belt, Sebastian Ingrosso’s protégée is definitely one to look out for this year! He scored an Essential New Tune on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio One show with his debut track on Refune Records “Nillionaire” during Miami Music Week 2011, and secured more plays around the world with his original productions and his killer remix of Swedish House Mafia’s ‘Save the World’. It’s safe to say that over the past 12 months Alesso has exploded onto the scene with his original productions, remixes and fresh take on DJing. His latest releases ‘Calling’, a collaboration with Sebastian Ingrosso, debuted Pete Tongs’ legendary radio show on Radio 1 and has proven itself to be the anthem for the summer season all over the world and has gained great chart success already and with the massive ”Raise your head” Alesso is taking over the dancefloors again by storm with it reaching no 1 on the DMC Buzz chart in its first week and a direct world exclusive play by Pete Tong.
Alesso entered no 70 at 2011 years DJMAG top 100 poll.
Zedd, being born into a family of musicians, began playing the piano at the age of four. After sevreal years of learning to master the piano, Anton began playing the drums in a band, and composed and produced numerous rocksongs in his band's own studio. In 2009 he began producing electronic clubmusic.
Boasting an extended line of brotherhood to the formidable Size Records clan, AN21 has invariably let passion lead the way for his global legacy. From the days of stealing his brother’s decks to play impromptu sets on the Swedish underground circuit to an ongoing spate of Essential New Tunes, AN21’s rise to immediate attention has invariably been the product of countless creative revelations. Bold enough to don his studio dexterity to the likes of Ellie Goulding and Gorillaz, his collaborative remix of Pendulum’s ‘The Island’ alongside Steve Angello and Max Vangeli would be dubbed as ‘Hottest Track in the World’ by Radio One’s Zane Lowe, marking an essential extension of his own sophisticated club stylings to the masses.
But where AN21’s reputation as an eclectic club connoisseur is undeniable, the aptly named debut album alongside best friend Max Vangeli promises to make 2012 his most memorable to date. Calling upon the likes of Tiesto for title track ‘People Of The Night’, the duos full-length debut will collect a host of friends from assorted musical backgrounds to create a fresh blend of House music. As the venues grow bigger and the emotive capabilities of his sound grow stronger, his innovative stance on melodically tuned anthems is worthy of the weight now carried in his every musical manoeuvre..
Daring to chase his musical ambitions all the way to America, the world is now the stage for the irreplaceable House stylings of Max Vangeli. Described by MTV as "One of the most promising artists for 2011", he has excelled all expectations in his accession to the high end of his craft.
Injecting an unmistakable energy into every avenue of his career, his forthcoming debut album alongside best friend AN21 featuring collaborations with Steve Angello and Tiesto is enough to indicate that with so much momentum already behind him, there is little stopping this master of emotive House anthems.
Let's introduce: we are NO_ID. Yes that’s in capitals and with an underscore!
Born in Amsterdam, raised in music. The NO_ID duo kicked off in the year 2008, formed by two local heroes. They joined forces and instantly shook the Dutch DJ scene by winning the Amsterdam Dance Event Demolition Contest with one of their first tracks called “Wurld”. This track was nominated for best house track with commercial potential. NO_ID tries to create a new and fresh international big room, proggy house sound, that is rarely found on the Dutch and international dance floors nowadays. Constantly finding new ways to enthuse and arouse their audiences, that is what NO_ID stands for and where these two guys put their faith in. Firm believers in the element of surprise, they let the music speak for itself as they play. Projects of NO_ID have been released on Diffused Music, Armada Music, Ultra Records, Toolroom Records, Spinnin’ Records, Cr2 Records, and others. Supported by Axwell, Tiësto, Sander van Doorn, Mark Knight, Chris Lake, Judge Jules and Michael Woods etc., they have had a pretty impressing array of releases the past year. Starting off with "Nothing Left To Lose" on Cr2 Records, creating a buzz on several big music stations and online. Followed by two massive releases on Diffused Music: "Sex Sells EP", a big hit on ID&T’s Sensation events among others, and most recently "How R U Feeling Right Now", accompanied by the Axwell approved Michael Woods edit. 2012 started with a huge bang! NO_ID was personally asked by Swedish House Maffia’s Axwell to join forces with his Axtone Management team, giving them the opportunity to sign at one of the most recommended and renown booking agencies worldwide, ATM Artists - the homebase of Axwell, Dirty South, Moby and others. First up? Warming up for Axwell at one of New Yorks most hyped events in 2012 already: Cosmic Opera at the Hammerstein Ballroom!
The guys of NO_ID, now headed for the international borders, are here to stay!
Dance floor dismantling drum & bass, London born Sub Focus has now become synonymous with music that draws from all corners of the electronic landscape, and has come to epitomise the ‘anything goes’ mantra of todays flourishing dance scene.
Swedish DJ/producer Style of Eye (AKA Linus Eklöw) has been melding his far-reaching influences to form a unique brand of high energy club music since 2003. His signature sound has much to do with the many different types of music he absorbed growing up in Stockholm, where artists like Stevie Wonder and 19th century classical composer Edvard Grieg were equally as important as acts like Yelllo or Krafwerk. These days Style of Eye can be found spreading his message at world renowned events and clubs such Creamfields, Amnesia, Tomorrowland and Mansion. His music, meanwhile, adorns labels such as Fools Gold, OWSLA and Refune, while you've doubtless encountered his standout recent singles such as "Devastate," "Ray Dee Oh" and "Sexx."
Los Angeles-born, New York City-based DJ/Producer Clockwork is no stranger to the world of electronic music. The young producer was one of the many 18 year olds circulating the dance music blogospehere with various bootleg remixes. But in 2011, armed with support and guidance from fellow young guns Felix Cartal and AutoErotique, Clockwork emerged from the throng of bedroom producers when his single “Squad Up” caught the attention Steve Aoki. Aoki signed Clockwork immediately, making him the youngest artist ever signed to Dim Mak’s prolific roster. Since the signing, Clockwork has officially remixed work for artists across the dance music spectrum, from Steve Aoki to Dimitri Vegas. His bootleg remix of Avicii’s notorious big room anthem “Levels” reached over 80,000 plays on Soundcloud, 2 million views on Youtube, and garnered international radio play. Clockwork’s distinctive bass-heavy, big room sound has helped him gain support from the likes of Tiesto, Steve Angello, Laidback Luke, Steve Aoki, and everyone in between. His DJ sets are always as high energy and innovative as his productions, helping earn him an upcoming international tour as well as a spot on the line-up at the 2011 Hard Haunted Mansion Festival. With a prolific propensity to create, a progressive production style, and a genuine love for the performance, Clockwork’s future is looking bright.
Have been described as having the melodic synth thrum of Flux Pavilion, the tech-soul vocal drops of Moby and the reverberant snares of trip-hop act U.N.K.L.E. -but their sound is instrument-based and largely sample-free and it was Skrillex who found them.
